When?

The 2021 Date is  Saturday, March 27 between 10am and 2:30pm

Where?

Its virtual! Check out our Virtual Auto Show page

Why is it so #*%#! expensive to enter this show!

The show doesn’t cost a thing to enter. It is absolutely free. The suggested donation is listed to help those that would like to make a donation through this event. Any amount, including nothing, is fully acceptable. Many of the entrants give thousands and even millions of dollars to Georgia Tech in other ways, so donating through this event would be redundant for them. Others are just getting back in touch with Georgia Tech, and do not feel comfortable donating anything. The organizers are simply passionate about the participation of the Georgia Tech community.  All donations go to the show and allow us to make it better.

Will the show be canceled if it is raining?

Nope!  It’s Virtual!  If its raining it will be better because there will be more people with less to do.  Come chat with others and share your passion for cars.

Will alcohol be allowed?

This year what you drink at the virtual tailgate is only governed by the rules in your house.

How will the vehicles be judged?

It is not the intention of the organizers for the judging to be the focus of this particular event. This year it is more about building Georgia Tech community and helping give people something to do during the current “social distancing”

Will there be trailer parking for participants not driving their cars to the show?

The are no trailers in cyberspace.

How many cars will be at the show?

We will take as many photos as you care to post.  All we ask is that the conversation is kept family friendly and not political.  We are about cars and Georgia Tech Community.

How do I register?

Registration is not required this year.  We do have it open because the organizers like to know who is interested in the show. Note that an address is listed for sending in the suggested donation in check form made out to the Georgia Tech Foundation. The address is:

Attention: Eric Trevena, College of Design

     Georgia Tech Auto Show

     245 4th Street

     Atlanta, Ga 30332

Please make sure the check has “[showdate_year] Auto Show” and references Acct. # 491-00-0009 on the comment line. The donation is not required and has no connection with your ability to fully participate in the show. A letter of acknowledgment for your donation will be sent for tax purposes.

Do spectators need to purchase a ticket or pay for entrance?

It’s Virtual so all you have to do is visit Virtual Show page.  If you have really enjoyed the show this year or in the past please consider making a small donation to help defray the cost of producing this annual GT Spring tradition and supporting the automotive culture on the GT campus and within the community. We are happy to take cash or checks at the information tent or you can mail a check to the address above.

What type of cars will be on display?

This auto show is for cars and motorcycles of all types and conditions. However, only Georgia Tech students, former students, faculty, staff, alumni, fans, and corporate sponsors are invited to participate by displaying a vehicle. If you are affiliated with Georgia Tech we want you to display your ride.

How can I help organize the Show?

The best way to get involved is to use the Contact Form. Provide your contact info and what sorts of things you would like to help with and we will contact you.  (sorry,  but this form is not live yet.  Contact a show organizer under the ABOUT page)
